Autumn, or fall as the Americans call it is finally upon us.

And of course, with a new season comes a brand new wardrobe. I’ve done quite a bit of shopping lately for autumn, and here are just a few of my favourites.

I love a good quirky tee. Be it a witty slogan or pattern, I think it can make a dull outfit just a little exciting.

I love wearing mini skirts in the summer and pairing it with a basic t-shirt and vans, it really is my go to style.

This blogpost is in collaboration with my best friend Toni, who took some amazing pictures of me at the weekend. She really is a fabulous photographer so if you want to check out more of her work, her instagram is https://instagram.com/tonijwphotography

Thigh Highs and Monocrome

From time to time I seem to buy clothes that I think is a little out of my comfort zone, and this outfit certainly is that. As much as I love the checkered trend that’s been around lately, I felt like it just wouldn’t suit me and I should stick to my black outfits.

However, after seeing this gorgeous skirt in New Look I just had to buy it and see if I liked it on me- low and behold I did! Continue reading “Thigh Highs and Monocrome”

OOTD for Petites!

I’ve always stayed away from wearing trousers because at 5 ft 2, I always thought that they’d make me look much bigger than I am, and also every pair I buy just seem to drown me in length.

However, after stumbling through every petite section of every online website, I came across this beautiful pair of wide leg trousers on Boohoo that were only £8(!) and when they arrived they actually fit me perfectly! The length was just right to wear with heels, and that’s exactly what I did when I went on a night out last week.

I’ve known about the website ‘Public Desire‘ for a few months now, but was wary about ordering shoes online incase they didn’t fit or I didn’t like the style in person. However, after WEEKS of searching for the perfect bright coloured high heel for a ball I was attending; I decided to take the plunge and buy a pair of heels from PD. AND I AM SO GLAD I DID.  Continue reading “I’M OFFICIALLY A PUBLIC DESIRE BABE”

BOOK REVIEW: “Lucy In The Sky” by Paige Toon.

Settling down for a 24-hour flight to Australia, Lucy finds a text message on her phone – not from her boyfriend James, as she fondly hopes, but from a woman claiming to have slept with him four times in the past month. Trapped on the plane, she questions everything about her relationship with James. She finally calls him and he reassures her: it was only his mates playing a silly joke. James is a lawyer, persuasive and gorgeous and Lucy adores him. So why, at the wedding in Sydney of her best friend Molly, does she have niggling doubts, and find herself attracted to Molly’s brother-in-law Nathan?                                                                         **(Sneak peek at the blurb)**

I’ve always been a little bookworm since the age of around 5. I love reading; getting yourself lost in an imaginary world, becoming attached to the characters, I love everything about it.

Paige Toon is an amazing author whom I have loved for many years. In fact, I would actually class her as my favourite author as her stories entice me that much. And as always she never fails to impress!

Many of Paige’s novels feature relatable storylines and “Lucy In The Sky” is no different. Once I started to read it,  I couldn’t put it down! I think I read it in around 3 days which is quite a record for me. The storyline is very well written, and it’s witty romance theme will have you in stitches!
I can always relate to her main characters and there is always such a profound romantic aspect to her writing throughout the entire book.
The best thing about Paige Toon’s writing?! She somehow manages to incorporate multiple characters from her other books into every other book! It makes you feel as though everything of her’s that you read is actually a reality as opposed to fiction.

I won’t give away too much as I don’t want to spoil it for those who may actually read this but I will say you will find yourself becoming very attached to the characters. Nathan just seems to good to be true, and the main protagonist Lucy is also a great character who takes you on an excellent journey… if you want a great girly summer read you have to get this –  I  guarantee you’ll love it and wish it will never end! I highly recommend this read along with all her other novels!!!

I LOOOOOVE FOOD! However, I don’t really eat very much as I’m very very fussy, so I mainly just snack throughout the day and only eat a little lunch and a bit of tea. YESSSSS, I know this is very very unhealthy but it’s what I’ve been like since I was a little girl.  However, I was shopping in Leeds at the weekend (if you don’t know where Leeds is, it is a student city in Yorkshire, UK) and inside the shopping centre they have a whole side of food restaurants from around the world and they named it ‘Trinity Kitchen’. Here there is curries, nachos, burritos, ribs, chicken, burgers, fish and chips- the lot.

I went to a little hut called ‘Chicago Rib Shack’, and obviously you can tell by the name that they are famous for their ribs. I had previously already tried their ribs and they were sooooooooooo nice, however I wanted to try something else; so I tried the chicken. IMG_4533HOW NICE DOES IT LOOK?! Students also get 15% off so I only ended up paying around £4.50 for chicken, chips, salad and a homemade ice tea.

If you live near Leeds or around Yorkshire then I totally recommend checking out Trinity for the food and the shopping. Leeds is an amazing city and is kind of like the Brighton of the north. I LOVE IT!

My first ever food post, I hope you enjoyed something a tad different and I hope I have made you very hungry by looking at my chicken hahaha 😛
