I love a good quirky tee. Be it a witty slogan or pattern, I think it can make a dull outfit just a little exciting.

I love wearing mini skirts in the summer and pairing it with a basic t-shirt and vans, it really is my go to style.

This blogpost is in collaboration with my best friend Toni, who took some amazing pictures of me at the weekend. She really is a fabulous photographer so if you want to check out more of her work, her instagram is

W7 ‘Lightly Toasted’ Eyeshadow Palette… Naked 1 Dupe?

I’m a total sucker for a dupe of a high end product. I mean, who doesn’t feel good saving money on something that could be as good as the real thing?! Whilst shopping a few days ago the W7 ‘In The Buff: Lightly Toasted’ palette  caught my eye… And it surprisingly looked like for Urban Decay Naked 1 palette. After uhm-ing and ahh-ing over whether it would be good or not, I decided to take the plunge and buy it and review it for you guys!

First Impressions… Unlike the Naked 1 palette, the 12 eyeshadows come in a little tin (which personally I think is better than a suede covered piece of cardboard)! The eyeshadows themselves look identical to the eyeshadows in Naked 1. From first impressions and no swatches, they also looked very durable and long wearing.

Taken with flash and no editing, this is what the eyeshadows look like with one swatch. As you can tell, the darker colours are much more pigmented than the lighter ones. However you can build the lighter ones up or even just use them as a simple highlight shade. Compared to the Naked 1, I would give them a 6.5/10 rating.

By using the 3rd, 5th and 9th shade in the palette this is the eye look I have created. A subtle copper eye, perfect for days when you don’t want to go all out with your makeup. The staying power is also very durable and lasts over 6 hours if you use a good eye primer underneath! Overall I really do like this palette and I do love it (just not as much as my beloved Naked palettes)! I do recommended it to those who don’t wish to spend £40 on a high end product as it does the trick just as good, it just may take some to build up certain colours!

Buy it here on Amazon for £5.79! Bargain!

What’s your favourite Naked palette? 1, 2 or 3? Let me know in the comments! 🙂 if you enjoyed this post, please like and comment and help support my blog! X

I’ve known about the website ‘Public Desire‘ for a few months now, but was wary about ordering shoes online incase they didn’t fit or I didn’t like the style in person. However, after WEEKS of searching for the perfect bright coloured high heel for a ball I was attending; I decided to take the plunge and buy a pair of heels from PD. AND I AM SO GLAD I DID.  Continue reading “I’M OFFICIALLY A PUBLIC DESIRE BABE”

I LOOOOOVE FOOD! However, I don’t really eat very much as I’m very very fussy, so I mainly just snack throughout the day and only eat a little lunch and a bit of tea. YESSSSS, I know this is very very unhealthy but it’s what I’ve been like since I was a little girl.  However, I was shopping in Leeds at the weekend (if you don’t know where Leeds is, it is a student city in Yorkshire, UK) and inside the shopping centre they have a whole side of food restaurants from around the world and they named it ‘Trinity Kitchen’. Here there is curries, nachos, burritos, ribs, chicken, burgers, fish and chips- the lot.

I went to a little hut called ‘Chicago Rib Shack’, and obviously you can tell by the name that they are famous for their ribs. I had previously already tried their ribs and they were sooooooooooo nice, however I wanted to try something else; so I tried the chicken. IMG_4533HOW NICE DOES IT LOOK?! Students also get 15% off so I only ended up paying around £4.50 for chicken, chips, salad and a homemade ice tea.

If you live near Leeds or around Yorkshire then I totally recommend checking out Trinity for the food and the shopping. Leeds is an amazing city and is kind of like the Brighton of the north. I LOVE IT!

My first ever food post, I hope you enjoyed something a tad different and I hope I have made you very hungry by looking at my chicken hahaha 😛

I Went Shopping! | SPRING Fashion & Beauty Haul

I was so excited to go shopping today, purely because I hadn’t been in about 3 weeks. I picked up quite a few things both fashion, makeup and beauty related so I thought I would show you what I bought!

Here is an overview of the things I bought…

First of all I went to Topshop. I love their crop tops for the spring and summer as I think they go with everything and are so cute, so I picked up two (as it was two for £10) one in neon green/yellow and one in pastel pink.

They look amazing with high waisted jeans and I know I’m going to get so much wear out of these over the next couple of months. Buy the pink one here, I’m very sorry but the yellow/green one isn’t on the website! I have been wanting some new jeans for a while, and when I saw these in the Topshop petite section (I am tiny.. Boo!) I knew I just had to have them. Here is a picture of them when I tried them on…

They are from the ‘Jamie’ range and are high waisted, but not as high wasted as the Joni jeans. I love these as they are different to any pair of jeans I’ve ever had. These will look perfect with the two crop tops also.

I then popped into Superdrug as I wanted to pick up Makeup Revolutions ‘The One contour stick’, however they didn’t have it in stock so I was very upset! However I did buy a few other things.

I bought the MUA Pro Brow Kit, as I have a few sparce areas in my brows so I am going to start filling them in. It comes with a powder, a wax and shades to highlight all for £3.50! Such an amazing price for what you get! I personally think it is a dupe for the Benefit Browzings, which can cost you around £20, so you are saving a hell of a lot of money! Then I bought an MUA Blusher, in the shade “Bon Bon”. It is a gorgeous peachy-pink colour which is perfect for the springtime. To say it is only £1 it is very highly pigmented and I recommend this to everyone! Lastly, I had been looking for a highlighter that was similar to Nars Copacabana, as I am currently saving up for that ahha. I was at the Makeup Revolution stand and found this amazing colour called “Pink Lights” which is very very similar to the Nars highlight. It is a gorgeous pale pink with a bit of sparkle in it, and I think it is going to look so pretty on the tops of my cheeks. This was also affordable at £3, which is £20 less than Copacabana.

Lastly, last month Victoria’s Secret were doing a promotion where if you bought something you would get a gift card worth £10, £50, £100 or £500. I had two and I was praying for the £500, but sadly I got £10 on both- which is still good!! I decided to buy two of their body mists, as they smell so refreshing and light which I love in the springtime. I bought “Love Addict” and “Sheer Love“.

They are both so fruity and sweet smelling and I will be spritzing these on me all day every day until summer is over. I love them so much and the lasting power is also very good too. They were both £13 so I had to put £6 towards them myself. How cute is the packaging too?! So gorgeous.

SOOOO… These are the things I picked up today. Let me know in the comments what your favourite thing is, and also let me know any things that you think I should buy for the spring and summer time. Thank you so much for reading, if you enjoyed please like, comment and follow to help support me! Have a lovely weekend guys, love Meg xo
