If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you’ll know that I do enjoy going out a fair bit, but something I love doing every once in a while is going on a classy night out for Cocktails at The Alchemist.
At The Alchemist we’re masters in the dark arts of molecular mixology and demons in the kitchen. Our mixologists create every cocktail with an obsessive eye for detail, presented in vessels orchestrated to add a devilish dash of theatre, they bedazzle, bewitch and set the scene for everything we do.
I find it has such a good atmosphere day and night, and isn’t too expensive either. Yes, the cocktails are around £7-£8, but if it is a one off occassion that you are going for then I feel it is totally worth it.
My favourite cocktail has to be the Screwball.
RASPBERRY VODKA, BLUE CURACAO, APPLE JUICE, LIME JUICE, BUBBLEGUM SYRUP AND WHITE CHOCOLATE FOAM. AN ADULT TWIST ON A CHILDHOOD FAVOURITE!
I’m a big fan of raspberry vodka so I knew that when I first tried this amazing drink that I would love it, and everytime I go back I always have to have one. It really does taste like bubblegum also, but it isn’t too intense which is why I think I like it, I love sweet tasting cocktails!
Not only do The Alchemist do sweet treat cocktails, they also do ones that bubble up, change colour and even change flavour!
Next up we tried the Colour Changing One.
COLOUR CHANGING ONE £7.75
GREY GOOSE, APPLE LIQUEUR, SUGAR SYRUP AND A SECRET INGREDIENT MAKE A BLUE POTION. LIME JUICE, APPLE JUICE AND SODA MAKE A CLEAR ONE.
You’re given two bottles, one with white liquid in and one with blue liquid in. Pour the white in first, then blue and it creates this gorgeous pink colour. Not only does it look pretty, it tastes amazing too!
If you live near an Alchemist and have yet to try it, I really suggest you do as they really are amazing. The staff make you feel welcomed, it’s a great place to hang out and catch up with friends and obviously, the cocktails are so yummy!
I really hope you all enjoyed this post. I’ve been a little AWOL lately as my exams start in a month so I have been very stressed, but I promise you all I will be properly back very, very soon.
